Job Summary |
The
College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking candidates for a
Diagnostic Microbiologist I/II within the Department of Pathobiology. The primary responsibility of the position is to process clinical samples submitted to the Bacteriology/Mycology diagnostic service laboratory in the department and report diagnostic findings.

Essential Functions |
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Process clinical samples and report diagnostic findings.
- Oversee the specimen submissions.
- Oversee laboratory materials and inventory.
- Assist in research projects related to veterinary microbiology.
- Provides oversight of student employees.

Education and Experience:
Level I - Bachelor's degree in Degree in Microbiology, or related Science and no experience. Level II - Bachelor's degree in Degree in Microbiology, or related Science and 2 years of experience working with bacterial and fungal organisms.
Advanced degrees may substitute for years of experience. |
