The Memorial Tournament Digital Content Manager is responsible for developing, creating, and managing high-quality digital content across various platforms to support the organization's tournament brand, marketing objectives, and online presence. This role supports and contributes to other tournaments and events within the HNS Sports portfolio including travel! This role is responsible for creating and managing engaging content across all social media platforms to promote a brand, course, tour, or organization standards. This role blends golf passion and a digital skillset to build an active online community, enhance brand awareness, and drive engagement among fans, players, and sponsors. The ideal candidate embraces golf culture, understands social trends, and has strong storytelling skills.
Content Strategy & Planning
-Develop and execute a comprehensive digital content strategy aligned with tournament/event
-Conduct content audits to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
-Capture, edit, and create, digital content ensuring accuracy, clarity, and tone consistency
-Collaborate with and manage photographers and video producers to create compelling multimedia content.
Team Collaboration and Project Management
-Work cross-functionally with marketing, communications, design, product, and sales teams to ensure content supports broader campaigns and initiatives.
-Coordinate with freelance contributors, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure timely content delivery.
-Manage content-related projects from inception to completion, including setting timelines, managing budgets, and tracking deliverables.
-Manage, organize, and distribute assets post-event for archives and future use
Brand Voice & Compliance
-Maintain a consistent brand voice, style, and messaging across all content.
-Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, legal regulations, and copyright standards.
-Stay current with industry trends, tools, and digital content innovations.
Ideal Qualifications
-Strong knowledge and passion for golf-understanding of the game, terminology, and culture is preferred
-Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
-2+ years of social media experience, preferably in sports or lifestyle industries.
-Familiarity with content marketing and social media trends
-Excellent project management and organizational skills.
-Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
-Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
-Proficiency with Adobe Suite
-Experience with photography, videography and graphic design
-Comfortable working weekends and/or holidays.
-Creative thinker who stays ahead of trends and thrives in a fast-paced, content-driven environment.
Location
- This position is based in Columbus, Ohio and requires travel throughout the year as needed
-This position supports a number of HNS Sports events throughout the year and requires travel to multiple cities
