Position Summary

As an HR Generalist, you will partner with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR consultation and implementation of a broad range of HR programs and initiatives in support of business objectives. In partnership with the Senior HR partner for the business division and business leadership, you will develop solutions to address recruiting, talent management, development, training, employee engagement, compensation and total rewards, and HR compliance matters.

This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH Corporate HQ, 3-4 days per week.

What You'll do as an HR Generalist

  • Oversee recruiting activity for business group, typically working with Talent Acquisition Partners from the COE or external recruiters. Focus on ensuring talent acquisition needs are well defined, resources and processes are in place to meet objectives, and participate in the selection process to help select the right candidates. Provide guidance to managers so new hires are onboarded effectively.
  • With direction from COE or manager, partner with business to address compensation matters. Assist managers in developing accurate and consise job descriptions, defining skill, knowledge and competency requirements for roles. Partner with compensation COE to perform market analysis. Support implementation of compensation changes or total reward programs across employee groups, to include providing effective communications.
  • Support and help to develop change management efforts to foster adoption of HR or business changes.
  • With direction from COE or manager, responsible for handling employee relations and/or union avoidance issue resolution. Directly handle routine ER issues, conduct investigations and recommend solutions. Will develop and implement programs to foster positive employee relations. Support the business in the annual employee engagement survey and action planning process.
  • Provide guidance to managers as they handle routine performance issues and talent development actions. Support succession planning and employee development plan creation.
  • Support HR business partner in developing customized programs to meet business needs. Conduct HR research, project support, reporting/analytics, and champion global HR initiatives.
  • Conduct employee orientations, and facilitate other HR training sessions as needed. Facilitate new leader assimilations and focus group meetings.
  • No direct reports, but will delegate tasks to others and lead projects.

Required Experience

Required:



  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related. Degree requirement may be waived if actively working towards degree and/or with substantial related HR work experience
  • Minimum 2 years relevant HR experience.
  • Minimum 1 years of recruiting, staffing, and employee relations experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, AAP, performance management practices, and employee relations practices.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, ATS)
  • Knowledge and application of current HR trends, best practices and compliance issues.

  • Work under some direction, will work independently with managers and employees to resolve issues.
  • Work at a tactical level, but beginning to understand business strategies and aligns work in support of these goals.
  • Performance management, recruitment, ER issues, and Coordinator areas.

Pay range for this opportunity is$67,362.50-$87,175.00.This position is eligible forbonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
