OverviewOneDrive and SharePoint (ODSP) are rapidly growing services at the center of Microsoft's cloud, interacting with almost every part of Microsoft. You would be a part of a team that is fundamentally changing the way that millions of people use their devices and interact with the most important content for their home, work, and school.In this team, you will work on a platform that enables "ultimate" Progressive Web Applications that will make web applications faster, resilient to transient service issues, and enable a full offline experience with 2-way synchronization. As part of this team, you will explore novel web application architectures and push the envelope on what modern web applications can do. You'll leverage a wide range of technologies including service workers and web caching technologies, React and JavaScript, browser extensions, native code in C++, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and security mechanisms, SQL databases and synchronization algorithms.As a Software Engineer II in our team, you will contribute to and help shape the vibrant, inclusive engineering culture of OneDrive & SharePoint. You will be expected to do deep, data-driven, collaborative design for additions and changes to our products. You will write clean, efficient code and comprehensive tests. You will build coverage with metrics and telemetry to ensure we understand exactly what is happening with our services at all times. And you will deliver features that will support and serve hundreds of millions of customers around the world. ResponsibilitiesContributing to product architecture and design proposals.Developing automation for production and deployment testing and assuring quality of solutions and maintaining code quality standards.Managing live service operations on a rotational, on-call basis.Integration of telemetry data and monitoring service for degradation and downtime.Ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards.Communicating with key partners for product development and user experience.
