We are seeking a Pet Business Analytics Associate Manager supporting the Pet segment. This role will identify opportunities and risks within the Pet food category by connecting consumer behavioral data with marketplace realities. This role provides a unique opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams to drive marketing strategies by leveraging consumer behavioral data. This role is perfect for someone who has strong analytical experience with a variety of data sources, works with agility and enjoys navigating ambiguity and creative problem solving. Relentless curiosity and a passion for pets, are also a must! You will work in partnership with the manager and other stakeholders to craft strategies and drive data-based recommendations to action.

We are looking for a results-oriented individual with proven success in translating data and analytics into insight and opportunity. Data prowess, intellectual curiosity, creative problem solving, and strong communication skills are a must.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be the objective source of truth for in-market performance and consumer behavior dynamics - connecting and integrating knowledge from a variety of syndicated and custom sources to guide the business.
  • Lead business unit business analysis partnership and guidance with key cross functional partners in Brand, Finance, Sales, Category Management, Pet Parent Insights and others.
  • Identify Category & Consumer Growth opportunities for Pet Segment to win in a highly competitive environment via leading strategic projects, Advanced Panel Deep Dives and Mining Marketplace Trends.
  • Proactively provide strategic guidance on growth opportunities during critical apertures: Plans, Sales Release, Innovation Reviews, Category Growth stories
  • Consult and educate stakeholders on relevant growth metrics and data sources, including appropriate use case, application, and interpretation. Consult with Corporate Capabilities teams on New Data & Analytic Capabilities
  • Be at the forefront of applying Data & Analytics capabilities
  • Work with Eco-system of Partners: NielsenIQ, Circana, Numerator, Pet Parent Insight Team, Central Insights Org, to bring holistic insights.
  • Provide guidance on Nielsen Database product view integrity for Pet category

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics or Economics.
  • 4+ years of experience in Analytics, preferably with NielsenIQ/Circana data in Sales, Marketing or Insights
  • Proficient in leveraging NielsenIQ/Circana data and other sources like Numerator and Profitero to extract, manipulate, and analyze data beyond standard dashboards, driving impactful business decisions
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels with strong ability to synthesize data to build and tell a clear and compelling story with credibility
  • Must have agility, stamina, curiosity and positive attitude to thrive in sometimes ambiguous, fast-based, high-impact business context and role and desire to grow and learn
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and building effective relationships

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master's Degree in related field
  • Experience consulting with Brand Marketing and addressing business questions with analytics toolkit
  • Deep knowledge and application of a variety of panel data sources like Nielsen Panel, Numerator, Scintilla, or similar
  • Remote eligible, Minneapolis location preferred

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $93700.00 - $156300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
