Description
The Labor Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting to meet company, insurance, and Department of Labor requirements. This role will oversee payroll calculations, retroactive pay adjustments, and the preparation of detailed compliance reports to support living wage audits, client contractual obligations, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit compliance reports for clients, insurance carriers, and government agencies, including Department of Labor and living wage documentation.
- Perform payroll calculations, including retroactive pay adjustments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Run and analyze payroll reports to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and internal/external reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with payroll, HR, and finance teams to gather data and ensure alignment on reporting deadlines and requirements.
- Stay current on wage and hour regulations, living wage ordinances, and reporting standards to ensure compliance.
- Support process improvements within payroll reporting and compliance workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with special projects or audits as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll, labor compliance, or payroll reporting roles.
- Strong understanding of payroll calculations, retro pay adjustments, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom, or similar) and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formula-based reporting).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Department of Labor regulations and living wage compliance is highly preferred.
