About the Role:

The Senior Real Estate Manager is responsible for driving the execution of development plans across multiple North American markets (spanning from Maine to Florida), supporting overall market optimization and net restaurant growth. This role provides strategic oversight and leadership to a team of Real Estate Managers, working cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, Construction and Franchisee partners to identify new opportunities, mitigate closures, and enhance portfolio performance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Lead the execution of development plans across assigned markets to support long-term growth and market optimization.
  • Provide objective insights to guide development decisions and market planning.
  • Coach and mentor Real Estate Managers (up to five), ensuring alignment with market-specific goals and enhancing team performance.
  • Identify and support Area Development Agreement candidates and align development timeframes accordingly.
  • Optimize real estate portfolios by identifying opportunities for new site development, relocations, remodels, and closures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Franchisees.
  • Proactively support Real Estate Managers in mitigating closures by initiating relocations or asset transfers early in the process.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align development goals with operational and financial priorities.
  • Travel as required to support team members, franchisees, and cross-functional meetings.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree, preferred, and 5 - 8 years of related real estate/development experience and/or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, minimum 3 years, managing a high-performing development or real estate team.
  • Previous QSR experience, preferred. Must have had previous Franchise experience.
  • Strong understanding of market planning, real estate strategy, and development processes.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, coaching and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making across departments.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in strategic planning and QSR analysis.
  • Travel up to 50%; includes air & ground travel. Must reside by a major airport.
