We are currently searching for an experienced Administrative Processor & Field Inspection Assistant to support our Southeast Region located in Pinellas Park, FL. This is a part-time position.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, an Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work as part of a team of professionals to organize and help manage day-to-day Structural Inspection Group operations under the direction of the group supervisor and the office lead
  • Provide detailed entry of field data into structural inspection reports and database
  • Update electronic documents, transmittal letters, tables, graphs, and spreadsheets
  • Import approved bridge, sign, and traffic signal mast arm inspection reports, plans, and photos into FDOT database. Import, name, and attribute documents, perform QA/QC to review all documents for completeness, attributes, signatures, and dates.
  • Support the inspection teams in the field, as needed

What you need to have:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and the internet is required
  • Ability to learn specialized databases
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm desired
  • Motivated and self-starter, excel at working within established boundaries without detailed directions and attention to detail
  • Highly organized, dependable, flexible and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
