INVISTA Camden Site has an immediate opening for an HVAC Lead Technician.

Our Team

The HVAC Lead Technician plays a key role in improving the reliability of our HVAC systems and advancing our HVAC building automation systems. This role will be an integral part of our Competitive Camden bet to meet the challenge of improving at a faster rate than our competition. This role will report to the Contract Administrator.

The successful candidate will exemplify PBM and will advance our culture by ensuring the organization is aligned with our vision and behaves in a manner consistent with our PBM Values.

What You Will Do

  • Improve reliability of HVAC system assets by leading the development, implementation, and execution of HVAC building automation Systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability of the HVAC equipment including Preventive Maintenance, detailed Bill of Materials, and required store stock for parts.
  • Interact with the Project and Reliability Groups to develop HVAC operating and maintenance procedures
  • Advance the use of Asset Performance Management to drive toward conditioned-based maintenance.
  • Interact with Site Environmental to ensure compliance with EPA regulatory requirements for refrigerants.
  • Able to perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Work a 4-10 schedule but be flexible to work other shifts/weekends as required for outages or emergencies.
  • Be flexible and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently manage your own work activities.
  • Complete daily tasks using time management, computer skills, excellent communication skills, and superior people skills.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC systems, including DX, and Chiller units
  • Experience in developing and implementing improvement processes
  • Willing and able to work on a flexible schedule, as necessary
  • This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

  • Certifications with chiller systems
  • Certifications with HVAC systems
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Experience
  • Basic SAP knowledge
  • Knowledge or experience with OSHA regulations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Work a 4/10 schedule. The work schedule is subject to change with notification, depending on business needs. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs.
  • Lift a minimum of (50lbs)
  • Walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
  • Wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, gloves, safety boots, respirators, and ACR Flash suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
  • Work in a hot/humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

This role is subject to a pre-hire medical test.
