What you'll do:

As the Learning and Talent Development Director you will be responsible for advancing the knowledge, skills and abilities of the company's employees. This position works collaboratively across the business to assess, design and implement effective methods to develop the people and advance their capabilities. You will be responsible for leading a team that will deliver job specific training, compliance training, manager training, leadership programs, and mentoring programs. The position works to enhance current programs such as performance management, on-boarding, succession planning, development planning, and talent reviews. As the Learning and Talent Development Director you'll build relationships with program participants, business leaders and other stakeholders utilizing your understanding of current training methodologies and technologies to ensure highly effective, quality development that meets the needs of the Bank. You will also oversee a teams efforts in providing the administration, direction, development, materials, tools and effectiveness monitoring for Learning and Development programs.
  • Responsible for supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer in helping to achieve the strategic objectives of the company and the Learning and Talent department. Participates in shaping the strategic talent and learning plans, with assigned responsibility for program oversight.
  • Oversee and lead a team that is responsible for the design, implementation, facilitation, and measuring enterprise-level, learning and development programs and experiences to achieve business growth plans and enable a high-performing culture.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and coach to HR and enterprise leaders to facilitate key initiatives such as employee engagement survey and action planning and team development. This leader will also oversee culture assessments and develop a strategy that will align leadership assessments with talent management/learning and development solutions.
  • Facilitate annual implementation of the performance management process; activities could include but are not limited to the development of employee communication materials & ancillary collateral material. Deploy calibration sessions across the enterprise to identify high potentials, high performers and successors.
  • Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

What you'll need:

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge in designing and implementing end-to-end Learning and Development strategies in a large, growing, and complex business.
  • Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
