Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Probationary period will not apply to shift changes. Summary of Position: Under direct supervision, must be able to perform the responsibilities and duties required of a stockworker as outlined. Assists with correlating the packing slips and purchase orders against the merchandise received. Cardinal order/Fed-Ex, UPS etc. Maintains storeroom clean, discard empty boxes and other packaging materials in appropriate area. Notifies manager of merchandise needed to be ordered/out of stock items. Appropriately discards expired drugs in the respective area. Places merchandise on the respective shelves, in an orderly fashion with the latest expiration toward the front (stock rotation). Delivers, picks-up and stocks merchandise throughout the pharmacy. Maintains stockroom equipment. Prepares prescriptions for shipment. The position may require the incumbent to perform other duties involving the same type or area or responsibility. Work location is 100 Corporate Drive Yonkers, NY. Education and Requirements: High School Diploma/GED. Must be able to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently. Must have the ability to maneuver pallet jack.
