Overall Summary:

The Strategic Solutions Architect guides enterprise leaders and cross-functional teams through the design, implementation, integration and management of new technology and/or process solutions to achieve strategic goals and priorities. The role is instrumental in crafting and executing a vision for how to leverage existing and emerging technology or methodologies to solve business problems and foster a competitive advantage in the marketplace. The Strategic Solutions Architect also leads and champions the organizational change necessary to achieve maximize value from the new solution.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design, development, implementation and optimization of technical solutions to support enterprise processes and workflows. This includes eliciting requirements from the business, iteratively delivering desired functionality, testing, training users, and refining the solution to achieve optimal performance.
  • Build expertise in purchased software. Educate other employees on capabilities, and serve as a trainer, technical resource and SME on functionality and best practices. Support adoption and understanding of the new technology.
  • Guide enterprise leaders and teams through transformation and optimization initiatives. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the technical direction aligns with business goals and solves complex problems efficiently.
  • Proactively identify, create a business case for, and get approval to purchase/implement off-the-shelf technology that could address business problems and improve outcomes. Educate business leaders on how to apply and operationalize the tools. Translate technical concepts to all audiences.
  • Advise and support business leaders in the vetting and implementation of technology, including integration with the existing system landscape.
  • Analyze existing technology, identify gaps and ideal future state workflow, and create a technical vision for the optimal solution.
  • Liaise between the business and IT, driving ongoing alignment between business needs and IT priorities.
  • Support Continuous Improvement efforts when technology solutions are identified as potential process improvements.
  • Administer and maintain purchased software. Monitor new features and capabilities and identify opportunities to enhance functionality. Maintain relationships with vendor partners.
  • Lead Agile teams in the execution of technical initiatives. Serve as an Agile coach and scrum master as needed.
  • Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.

  • Strong project management skills delivered with a positive/consultative demeanor and the ability to interact with cross-functional, technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business cases.
  • Proven analytical, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn the full product capabilities, demonstrate agility to creatively address system gaps.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train others.
  • Maintain confidence and composure during challenges and rebound quickly from mistakes.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and execute unfamiliar tasks.


Salary:
The starting salary range for this position is $120,000-130,000/year

At IWCO, base pay is determined by job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, along with factors such as role scope and location. Candidates seeking compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and/or may be considered for other positions.

Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's computer science/related degree and/or equivalent 7-10 years' direct mail/print industry related experience in a technology support or lead role.
  • 7-10 years' experience with design, development, implementation and modification of business systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a role such as Product Owner, Product Manager or SME (Subject Matter Expert) within a technology-centric group for the intent of driving direction and results in the support of business systems and technology applications.
  • Experience in supporting organizational change and investments.
  • Proven experience leading projects related to the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide, cross-functional solution.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to work 8 hours consecutively.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
