Add Job Title General Summary: Manages and executes Bank corporate communications through content creation, design, technical writing and editing. Concepts, begins and executes communications workflow on various projects for both internal and external distribution including publications, presentations, social media, photography and websites.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes Bank mission and messages through consistent use of branding, graphic art, and photography for production of both print and electronic publications, promotions, and presentations.
- Primary manager of communication projects for Human Resources and Government Relations Departments. Manages communications projects for specific Housing programs.
- Writes intranet messaging, provides graphic support and manages weekly internal email newsletter. Develops and executes editorial calendars for other employee communications activity in coordination with Human Resources department.
- Manages email marketing system (Constant Contact), manages on-site display monitor system, regularly updates FHLB related news clip repository, performs day-to-day website updates and manages the website content aging process.
- Primary manager of bank photography and videography. This includes identifying and hiring professional photography and videography services as needed and ensuring internal events have photo coverage with support from the communications team.
- Provides branding and editing support throughout the Bank to include writing, designing and editing PowerPoints, and other external facing documents. Updates the Bank's brand documents as needed on the company Intranet.
- Assists with other related responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to compliance reporting, records retention, business resumption management efforts, vendor management processing and data management.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or public relations, or business to acquire the technical background necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Five years related work experience in corporate communications, website and publication management. Extensive knowledge and experience in professional writing required.
- Solid visual, graphic arts, desktop design, photography, and social media management skills. Video editing and production a plus.
- Excellent written, oral communication, proofreading and editing skills.
- Ability to independently manage projects to completion.
- Proficient in the use of Canva, video editing, Adobe Creative Suite, social media, presentation design, website management technology and analytics, and other PC technologies including Microsoft Office products, while meeting tight deadlines. Basic HTML or CSS knowledge a plus.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with the public, media, member institutions, partners, vendors and Bank staff in conducting business and promoting a positive image of the Bank.
- Willingness to travel to cover stories or attend events representing that Bank throughout the District of Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
- Willingness to learn the banking industry.
- Demonstrates interests in working with a variety of backgrounds and perspectives that align with the Bank's core value. Promotes an environment of empathy and respect to ensure the inclusion of all team members.
Working Conditions: Requires frequent interaction with website, intranet, and social media postings. Flexibility to photograph events outside the Bank, occasionally outside normal business hours. Travel required approximately 10% of the time.
