Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Senior Financial Analyst - Information Technology

The Senior Financial Analyst provides strategic financial support through budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth analysis for high-visibility initiatives and complex projects across our Digital Informatics and Technology department. This role partners with senior leadership to guide financial planning, support data-driven decision-making, and drive operational efficiency through insightful reporting and cost management.

Role Overview

    Supports financial reporting, budgeting, and management of DigITs (IT) and EPIC functions.
  • Lead the development of operating, capital, restricted, and special project budgets.
  • Prepare justifications for incremental or zero-based budget requests.
  • Monitor financial systems and ensure accuracy in postings and reporting.
  • Collaborate on financial management of complex, high-impact initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Deliver clear and accurate ad hoc and standard reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Manage and lead multiple, deadline-driven projects across business units.
  • Represent the department in meetings and lead when senior managers are unavailable.

Key Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of relevant financial planning and analysis experience (Knowledge and experience in supporting IT areas, a plus)
  • Strong background in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume projects with fixed deadlines.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data and present insights to leadership.

  • Project and time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure.

Additional Information:

  • Pay Range: $100,600.00-$161,000.00
  • Reporting to Senior Director, IT Finance
  • Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday
  • Location: Hybrid; 99% remote with flexibility to come on site as needed
