Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations and help drive a high-performing, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. This is a hands-on role, responsible for delivering consistent HR support across a wide range of areas including operations, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Process Management
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Maintain HR systems (HRIS), employee records, and data accuracy.
  • Evaluate and improve HR workflows for operational efficiency.
  • Support the administration and updates of company policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration
  • Manage open enrollment and vendor communications.
  • Coordinate and track leave requests (STD, LTD, FMLA), ensuring compliance and communication.
  • Oversee employee benefit programs including health, retirement, and leave policies.
  • Support employees with benefit-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Employee Culture Ambassador
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager HR-related inquiries.
  • Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
  • Promote an inclusive, respectful, and engaging work environment.
  • Assist in developing initiatives to support culture, retention, and engagement.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, support audits, and manage required reporting (EEO, ACA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Monitor key HR metrics to inform leadership decision-making.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR generalist experience, Must haveminimum of 2 years in an HR Manager or HR Business Partner role.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and core HR functions.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Adaptable and responsive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
