Data Architect B&A is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to support our technical and program teams in designing, documenting, and implementing complex systems and architectures. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with program and project leaders to define and create architectural artifacts, ensuring logical flow and alignment with project goals. This individual will possess a deep understanding of software design, system integration, and technology strategies across platforms, applications, and networks. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program and project leadership to define system and software architecture approaches.
- Develop architectural depictions and documentation that reflect logical workflows, system interactions, and integration points.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure architectural designs align with business and technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance in the development, testing, and implementation of software and system solutions.
- Support systems integration, data exchange, and interface designs across heterogeneous platforms.
- Ensure system scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and solution planning.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Design and discuss system strategies for platform, applications, and networks.
- Develop and document analytical models using statistical analysis, data mining, and AI techniques to create high-level data architecture diagrams.
- Evaluate alternatives for integrating various data sources with enterprise relational models and strategies for transactional and analytical systems.
- Support the development and deployment of analytical and AI tools, including custom models for automation and insight generation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify impactful organizational problems and translate them into structured analyses, measurable insights, and dashboards.
- Implement complex ETL and data extraction projects from scratch.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software/system architecture is required with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software/system architecture is required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience designing enterprise-level systems and software architectures.
- Familiarity with a variety of software development languages and platforms (e.g., Java, Python, .NET, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and related database technologies, including complex query tuning.
- Experience with data modeling, analytics, integration, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Understanding of system strategy design, including platform selection, network integration, and application architecture.
- Ability to create and interpret architectural documentation and diagrams (e.g., UML, SysML).
- Experience developing machine learning algorithms and deploying them in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and frameworks, including OpenAI and other modern AI tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
- Agile development and project management experience.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake and AI services.
- Understanding of Dynamics 365 CRM from a business/functional perspective.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and high accountability.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
