Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer, Chicago, IL, for Team TAG Services, LLC (TAG): Provide data engineering and data analytics expertise, working alongside developers who are modernizing legacy systems by developing new software and services using cloud-native GCP technologies. Our stack uses Microsoft .NET (7), Python, Airflow, and advanced SQL and NoSQL data layers on Kubernetes operating as an active-active HA multi-region solution. The role involves extensive collaboration with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Python and .NET Applications, Looker Studio, Plotly Dash, DBT, GCP Composer/Airflow, BigQuery, and other contemporary data technologies pivotal to advancing the team's data analytics and software engineering capabilities on our GCP platform. Required: Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field and 4 years’ working in informational technology, analytics and data science OR Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field and 2 years’ working in informational technology, analytics and data science. Experience must include 2 years of experience in developing microservices and applications using one or more OOP languages (Python, C#, java), SQL, Docker, and FastAPI framework; building ETL, ML pipelines, and data warehouses in GCP; building CI/CD systems and GCP infrastructure using Terraform and DevOps tools; designing and implementing automated workflow using Airflow on Cloud Composer and creating and maintaining architectures in GCP such as Kubernetes cluster and IAM policies; building automated testing, alerting, and monitoring of services; and building modern reporting pipelines using tools such as DBT, Docker, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and/or Dash Enterprise.
