SPA's Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy's Team Submarine Office. #FC



Responsibilities

We are seeking a Journeyman Software Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division's (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic and Sensor Department.

You will provide software development support for the Propagation Measurement and Analysis Group (PMAG) at NSWC Dahlgren.

Anticipated Tasking includes:

    Convert existing tools from MATLAB to Python
  • Create new tools in Python
  • Ensure tools can be reused (portable or modular)

You must have have the ability to work from NSWC Dahlgren 5 days per week with the possibilty of limited remote work after acclimation to the program.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited university in software engineering or computer science
  • 2-5 years of experience with software development in MATLAB and Python
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
