Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow all safety and food safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout.



  • Operate and troubleshoot production machinery, including setup, cleanup, and basic quality/waste control.



  • Perform hourly quality checks (moisture, consistency, color, weight) and enter data into the Flex System.



  • Follow GMPs and ensure team compliance.



  • Use fish grinding, seed blending, and metal detection equipment properly.



  • Read and follow recipe sheets and batch procedures.



  • Pull components from inventory, clean between product runs, and ensure accurate batch tracking.



  • Assist with packaging, plant improvement projects, and monthly inventory as needed.



  • Support production goals and complete other assigned duties.



Education and Experience Profile

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two years (2) related experience operating production machines in a production environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, read, comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Must possess organizational and teamwork skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts

  • Self-motivated

Work Environment

  • Exposure to hot and cold climate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
