Job Purpose

Herc Legal Analyst ensures that the best collection effort is expended on customer accounts to maximize cash collections and minimize Bad Debt. This position reports directly to the Customer Account Supervisor with delegated duties such as training and mentoring teams to exhaust all efforts to avoid Bad Debt write-off. Responsible for handling escalated collection issues, work-out plans and settlement offers. Solid B2B collections experience is needed in order to provide the best level of customer service while identifying high risk accounts with cash flow issues. Excellent customer service, negotiation skills and attention to details are required to help promote long-term business relationships with our customers and Internal Business Partners. Collection procedures have been developed to provide a systematic way of dealing with delinquent accounts while also retaining our customer's loyalty and driving successful business results.

What you will do...

  • Assist Customer Account Supervisors in training and mentoring collection teams.
  • Provide and articulate Bad-Debt Reporting such as Bad Debt Write-offs, Recovery and other calculations.
  • Coordinate Lien and Bond Claims with appropriate Internal / External Business Partners.
  • Receivables reporting analysis via Excel, Access, etc. to enable rapid, fact based decision making and economic thinking.
  • Utilize appropriate judgment in releasing/holding orders, processing adjustment disputes, resolving unapplied payments and possible account suspension due to non-payment.
  • Recommend account suspensions, re-activations and referrals to Third-Partly Collectors and Attorneys.
  • Take proactive measures to escalate uncollectible accounts and bring material changes to department heads regarding financial position of customers.
  • Process Accounts for Third-Party Collections and Bankruptcy
  • Maintain relationships with Internal and External Business Partners to drive efficiencies in processes.
  • Assist in projects, process improvements, and other collection related tasks as identified by management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years' experience with Third-Party Agency and Bankruptcy Laws
  • At least two years of prior Analysis Reporting and B2B Collection experience

Pay Range: $60,000- $70,000
