Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $103,510 - $137,121.60. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Senior Manager-Global Security!

The Manager will oversee Chicago and Franklin, WI security operations, provide supervision and direction for security team members, and report to the Director of Global Security. This position requires an individual who can demonstrate, project, and encourage an elevated level of professionalism and urgency with team members within the security department. Further, this position requires an individual with contract security account management experience, travel security experience, demonstrated decisiveness, flexibility, good judgment, and the willingness to function as needed, with a proven record of providing successful change while focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. They must be responsible and take the initiative to remain current on relevant technical or other specialized subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that overall resources are utilized appropriately to meet organizational needs.
  • Anticipate organizational constraints and take appropriate action to address them.
  • Assist in the development of overall business plans for the organization.
  • Coaching, counseling direct reports, and participating in establishing appropriate development plans.
  • Anticipating, investigating, and resolving departmental problems and conflicts.
  • Promoting safety awareness, housekeeping, investigating, and reporting on safety incidents.
  • Reviewing and approving team member reviews.
  • Writing and conducting team member reviews.
  • Initiating decisions regarding hires, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Identifying individual training and skill development criteria to meet departmental/divisional needs.
  • Independently analyze available data to decide on present and future organizational requirements.
  • Willing to step into any role within this department when needed.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

  • Associate degree in criminal justice or related field.
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge of security systems and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, e.g., 4-Step Problem Solving process.
  • Proven team building and change management skills to coach, mentor, and empower team members throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrates good PC skills, including MS Office.
  • Relevant Experience Required: minimum 7 years of security or related background. Industrial security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred, plus 3 years of leadership experience, and direct project management.
  • Must provide proof of a valid Illinois driver's license, Firearm Owner's Identification Card (FOID), State of Illinois 40-Hour Security Training, Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), and the ability to obtain the Firearm Control Card (FCC) successfully.
