Description Seeking an Operations Research Analyst to support the FAA's Enterprise Operational Support Environment (E-OSE) infrastructure modernization to enable real-time decision-making and lifecycle analysis of enterprise technologies supporting the National Airspace System (NAS). The ORA will develop and manage statistical and simulation models to analyze the performance of NAS systems being onboarded to E-OSE and conduct quantitative evaluations of operational scenarios, cost/risk tradeoffs, and infrastructure utilization trends. The ORA will support long-range infrastructure planning, scenario forecasting, and contribute to risk modeling strategies that shape investment and technology alignment. Requires expertise in analyzing performance data, conducting variance and regression analyses, and supporting enterprise performance frameworks. Work location: WJHTC - Onsite Work Hours: Normal Business Hours 20+ years of relevant experience Master's Degree may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience. Position Requirements Experienced in techniques to assess the effectiveness and performance of IT infrastructure and enterprise hosting environments. Proficient in developing performance measurement models to evaluate throughput, reliability, latency, and resource utilization of virtualized environments. Skilled in quantifying system availability, supportability, and resiliency using real-world operational data. Experienced in forecasting system vulnerabilities and evaluate the impact of architecture decisions. Ability to support FAA infrastructure transformation. Additional required skills and knowledge: Analytical mindset and problem solving skills Detail oriented Must have good oral and written communication skills Must be flexible and interested in learning and working with new technologies Must demonstrate an ability to work independently or under general direction on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implementation Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Education Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences, operations research, economics, computer science, engineering, business, information systems, information technology, management science, or related field.
