As part of Detection and Measurement, CUES is the world's leading developer of water, wastewater, and storm water inspection equipment. With CCTV cameras, pre-built vehicles, and software for pipeline inspection and rehabilitation, we improve the safety and reliability of our water infrastructure systems.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As Continuous Improvement Leader you will support Cues initiatives relating to LEAN manufacturing to drive world-class results in customer satisfaction, quality, on-time delivery, operational efficiency, customer-value, organic growth, and ultimately operating financial performance. This role will provide leadership and "hands on" support for the development and advancement of continuous improvement.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at Cues, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Operational Excellence
  • Promote and facilitate culture of Operational Excellence focused on lean six-sigma methodologies, problem solving, value stream mapping, KAIZEN projects, 5S and various other tools with the continuous improvement discipline.
  • Identify areas for improvement by analyzing current processes, data, and production workflows
  • Implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency in various areas of the business.
  1. Training and Coaching
  • Work with SPX Continuous Improvement leadership to establish training schedules for LEAN and Six Sigma courses
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and department to implement changes and foster and culture of continuous improvement
  • Train team members on new processes and procedures, and coach them on using continuous improvement techniques
  • Provide leadership to strengthen internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment

3. Execution

  • Maintain and execute Continuous Improvement calendar
  • Leasn Kaizen events and maintain reporting on events, event outcomes and action plans, and follow up measurement results
  • Resolve implantation issues / create and manage implementation communication process
  • Establish appropriate measurement systems to identify opportunities and to quantify implemented improvements

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required, IE or MFGE a plus; or 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis
  • Must have a high level of self-motivation
  • Self-starter with analytical skills, able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement, assesses viable solutions, and develops and executes complex projects and comprehensive action plans

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Lean certification strongly desired, six-sigma certification a plus
  • Leadership/Trainer experience, in addition to industry experience, a plus

Travel & Working Environment

  • 5-10% Travel for trainings
  • In office Monday-Friday
