Your role
Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) is operationally driving supply chain quality by ensuring that it is effectively established, implemented and maintained in compliance with local regulations and Atlas Copco requirements. Job description
- Be a proactive and reliable partner, engaging in preventive quality planning to support innovation and act as an external enabler for sustainable performance improvement.
- Execute inspection for the initial sourcing of components according to contractual documents and maintain related records.
- Manage the supply chain quality processes and ensure effectiveness including receiving inspection, supplier site inspection, deviated material control, scrap, and corrective actions with suppliers.
- Execute evaluation and audit for supplier on Process, Quality, Environment, Energy, Safety, and Health.
- Supplier development & improvement: analyze business requirements and identify gaps of supplier, organize improvement and support plan, drive proactive involvement of suppliers in manufacturing improvement.
- Operational claim management: coordination of containments with suppliers, coordinating failure Sumeetings, initiating claims to suppliers, and assuring 8D work activities.
- Develop methods to maintain and report on supplier quality metrics.
- Participate in the ECN process with a focus on communicating information to suppliers to ensure proper revision control
To succeed, you will need
Experience requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Lean manufacturing or supplier quality assurance within manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Experience with conducting audits such as systems, processes, and product along with managing closure of actions associated with identified opportunities.
- Analyze and use critical thinking, looking into problems and identifying root causes with facts, numbers and sound logic
- Lean problem-solving tools and interpreting data to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Solid negotiation skills
- Results focused with ability to report on KPI's
- Casting, machining, assembly and metal fabrication processes is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude is required
Knowledge
- Thorough understanding and application of core quality tools and statistical quality assurance methods.
- Good standing knowledge of industrial and mechanical design principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, second language is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Experienced with MRP systems
- Experience with PowerBI is a plus
Educational requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with relevant work experience
- Preferably CSQP certification
