Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/ Advanced Practice Provider Location: Houston TX 77093 Duration: 03 months to long term Shift: Monday To Friday- 8 AM - 5 PM Pay Rate: $57 to $60/hour Roles & Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care in accordance with the Texas Medical Board, Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, Nursing practice act, and Harris County Public Health (HCPH) procedures and protocols. Complies with US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) guidelines for treating/screening program-specific clients. Completes and reviews health histories, performs physical examinations, and reviews and orders appropriate laboratory tests and immunizations. Orders and monitors prescribed medication in accordance with Pharmacy D regulations. Makes referrals to other providers or agencies, as appropriate. Uses Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) expertise to serve as a mentor and resource person to all clinical staff. Seeks to assure that policies and procedures are followed. Assists with training new clinical staff. Attends and actively participates in clinical provider meetings. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirement: Master's degree as an Advanced Practice Provider - Nurse Practitioner or as an Advanced Practice Provider - Physician Assistant Licensed to practice in Texas as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certified At least one (1) year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an out-patient clinical setting. Candidates to have experience with IUD insertion and removal Nexplanon certification. Valid TX Driver's License Preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified Preferred Experience working in family planning medical clinics
