The Office of Enrollment Management comprises of five functional areas, including The University Registrar's Office, The HUB, the Office of Admission, Student Financials and Enrollment Systems, and the Office of International Education. These functions work together to provide students, families and the campus community with student support and administrative services from the time of recruitment, to enrollment and all the way through graduation.

We are seeking an Assistant Registrar for Records & Graduation to join our team! This position responsible for assuring a high standard of excellence in the area of student, faculty and department customer services in support of the University Registrar's mission, strategic goals and values. The position is a University resource serving students, faculty and staff by informing and adhering to academic policy and requires working in a collaborative manner and displaying initiative while providing exceptional customer service.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Student Services - Investigate research and explore new procedures and technologies in order to improve student services, including serving on cross unit service teams. May supervise, and leads support staff in the area of verifications, authentications, transcripts and diplomas. Enables staff to set priorities; oversees their daily operations; provides training as required; identifies the need for process improvements; helps to develop their knowledge base; acts as a resource for their daily questions and trouble shooting.
  • Record Retention - Implements and supervises record management, retention and retirement policies for all student records. This includes the accurate and timely maintenance of students' (active and inactive) academic, student account, and financial aid records, and handling confidential student matters regarding FERPA. Responsible for problem solving as it relates to University Academic Policies, and the clarification of such to the campus community. Troubleshoots problems and questions concerning office and university policies. Creates and maintains documentation related to policies and procedures. Interacts with internal and external audiences; and provides findings and recommendations.
  • Assist with the preparation and dissemination of Registrars' Office various guides, web information and forms. Assists Communications team with forms management and web site updates.
  • Diploma & Commencement Support - Manages the university degree, major and minor data collection, pre-Commencement and post- Commencement diploma processing and distribution to departments and students.
  • Responsible for problem solving as it relates to diploma policies, and the clarification of such to the campus community. Troubleshoots problems and questions concerning diplomas and university policies, procedures and processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or administration, or equivalent of educational experience
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Academic Administration, Program and/or Curriculum Management, Registrar processes and process improvement.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in academic software and database management.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
