DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accounts Payable Analyst will develop and have content expertise in the following areas and will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate by the Accounts Payable Manager:
- Upload 1,000+ invoices weekly into Oracle NetSuite
- Using our data warehouse and query tools, compare data received from inventory vendors to purchase orders and receiving records, looking for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist the EDI invoice process to ensure accurate data, and assist in converting more inventory vendors to process invoices via EDI
- Research discrepancies and identify shortage and pricing variances
- Work directly with 200+ warehouses and Purchasing department on receiving discrepancies
- Run analytics on payment terms and pricing discrepancies
- Run daily, weekly, monthly reporting out of our Accounts Payable system
- Assist with various month-end procedures
- Evaluate current processes and seek ways to automate further
- Support system testing and new initiatives
- Resolve escalated issues and complete quality assurance checks
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complicated issues
- Meet scheduled monthly deadlines
- Assist with other projects as assigned by management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- 2+ years Accounts Payable experience
- 2+ years of EDI experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Management, or Technology
- Intermediate Excel, data handling and query skills; willingness to be trained to an Advanced skill level
- Commitment to preserving confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Solid problem-solving skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective communication with both internal departments and vendor personnel
- Ability to work independently or with a team
