Position Title: Shipping
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 2nd or 3rd Hours: 12:30pm - 9:00pm (Monday - Friday) or 9:00pm - 5:30am (Sunday - Thursday), Overtime As Needed Reached a dead end at your current job? This is a potential to hire position for 2nd or 3rd shift. Apply now! Shipping Responsibilities: - Ship items leaving the plant according to shipping instruction card and instructions on the load book - Verify that bar code labels are attached and accurate - Load trucks to proper weight or skid limit, ensuring that loads scale legally - Receive incoming materials and check shipping container or packaging for damage - Inspect materials utilizing material specification sheets and verify contents against packing slips - Visually inspect products and shipping containers prior to loading - Complete bill of lading and arrange for export documents for shipped materials as necessary - Adjust inventory systems as necessary - Update shipping tickets, containers and inventory systems to maintain proper inventory counts - Operate fork truck Requirements for Shipping: - Previous forklift experience and longevity in work history - Able to do repetitive bending, twisting and reaching - Able to work in a fast-paced environment - Able to lift 15-40lbs repetitively throughout shift - Able to work in hot environment - Able to work overtime as needed - Excellent attendance IND035 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
