US Manager, eProcurement Operations

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the oversight of operational processes and strategies including managing complex integrations, resolving critical escalations, and continuously improving capabilities to optimize eProcurement customer experiences. Collaborates with Sales, the EDI Team, and other internal TSMs to exceed customer expectations and achieve business objectives. Balances individual contributions with leadership of direct reports (if applicable), ensuring operational excellence, efficient resource utilization, and best-in-class customer experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Project Leadership
    • Lead Complex Initiatives: Manage large-scale or high-value eProcurement projects, including account integrations for major or strategic customers.
    • Set Direction & Priorities: Define objectives, deliverables, and success metrics for critical eProcurement engagements, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for strategic customers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams, delivering transparent communication and guidance.
  • Operational Oversight & Execution
    • Hands-On Implementation: Execute end-to-end processes for eProcurement initiatives as needed, from requirements gathering to post-go-live optimization.
    • Standards & Protocols: Develop, document, and enforce best practices for onboarding, data accuracy, and system enhancements, fostering consistent, high-quality outcomes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to refine processes, escalate issues, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Team Management & Development
    • Recruit & Mentor: Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and supporting Specialists and Analysts to develop talent and build a high-performing team.
    • Performance Management: Set clear goals, conduct regular feedback sessions, and evaluate individual and team performance.
    • Collaboration & Guidance: Provide day-to-day support and direction, ensuring alignment of tasks with each team member's workload, capabilities, and development opportunities.
  • Risk Management & Reporting
    • Proactive Monitoring: Track key eProcurement metrics (e.g., timeline adherence, error rates, customer satisfaction) to identify trends and address potential issues.
    • Issue Escalation: Oversee complex problem resolution, coordinating with senior leadership and technical teams to minimize disruptions for high-impact accounts.
    • Insights & Analytics: Deliver data-driven recommendations to leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and strategies for further innovation.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Preferred experience in technology sales, procurement, e-commerce management, or other related field
  • Direct sales experience of consulting in a sales environment required Healthcare experience is highly desirable including working with or for Health Systems, GPOs, or technology solution companies
  • Distribution experience, especially medical-surgical or dental, is preferred
  • Management of people is required
  • eCommerce Website feature/function knowledge preferred
  • Must understand eProcurement Solutions and related operational processes and best practices
  • Be able to discuss various technologies articulately and accurately including punch out, cXML, EDI, APIs, etc.
  • Knowledge of inventory management is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical and dental organization structures including: GPO, MSO,IPA, IDNs, hospitals, ASCs, associations preferred
  • Knowledge of product categories including: pharmaceuticals and vaccines, medical-surgical supplies, laboratory, medical equipment
  • General computer software proficiency including the use of spreadsheets, word processing, and Power-Point required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $97,909 - $152,984 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
