US eProcurement Operations Specialist

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for day-to-day complex tasks for existing eProcurement customers while contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance Henry Schein's technical capabilities. Collaborates with Sales, the EDI Team, and other TSMs to implement new processes, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement. Develops training strategies, creates educational resources, and leads internal and external training sessions. Provides insights to leadership on emerging opportunities and industry trends to improve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic & Operational Initiatives
    • Evaluate existing eProcurement processes and manage day-to-day tasks for multiple customers to maintain efficient operations.
    • Coordinate with Sales, the EDI Team, and other TSMs to scope, plan, and execute improvements or new capabilities that enhance functionality and customer experience.
    • Drive alignment between business objectives and technical requirements, ensuring effective deployment of new features and customer management solutions.
    • Provides input to new solution initiatives for eProcurement
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with customers, Sales, and internal teams to gather requirements, define success criteria, and establish clear timelines for both operational and strategic projects related to eProcurement.
    • Facilitate discussions on technical capabilities, proactively communicating progress towards objectives to manage customer expectations.
    • Provide training and guidance on processes, features, and capabilities, fostering adoption and maximizing the value provided to eProcurement customers.
  • Risk Mitigation & Issue Resolution
    • Monitor key metrics to detect potential risks or inefficiencies, taking prompt action to maintain operational excellence in daily activities.
    • Investigate and resolve escalated customer challenges, coordinating with technical and business teams to implement corrective measures.
    • Document lessons learned and resolution strategies, enabling continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Track and measure the impact of optimization efforts, using data-driven insights to refine future strategies and day-to-day processes.
    • Deliver recommendations to leadership on emerging opportunities and industry trends, guiding decision-making for ongoing enhancements.
    • Promote a culture of continuous optimization by regularly updating processes, tools, and best practices to align with evolving business needs.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Understanding of the eProcurement Platforms market and the differences across the platforms
  • Understanding of eProcurement systems, workflows, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with standard Business-to-Business transactions, processes, and customer requirements.
  • Awareness of emerging eProcurement and general eCommerce features and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of project management and/or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Agile, Lean Six Sigma)

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $62,305 - $97,352 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
