Under general direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Specialist provides benefits and payroll administration and is responsible for monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish the administration of all benefits to include medical, dental, life insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term disability, wellness program, FMLA and ADA Claims, EAP, 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement and FSA/HSA. - Responsible for the administration of all benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, voluntary benefits, EAP, FSA/HSA, Wellness Program, Tuition Reimbursement and 401(k) plans.
- Responsible for the resolution of employees benefit issues and take appropriate actions.
- Coordinate benefits processing to include enrollments (Health, Dental, 401K, Life insurance, STD, LTD, FSA/HSA, wellness program, voluntary benefits and tuition reimbursement), COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDRO's, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing.
- Reconciles monthly invoices for all company benefits programs.
- Effectively manage and interpret FMLA and ADA claims/implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit plans.
- Responsible for annual ACA Reporting.
- Responsible for driving, engaging and educating team members in Tyler Coupling's wellness programs.
- Understanding team member wellness concerns and creating programs to address and drive improvement.
- Plan and develop curricula and materials for training programs and conduct benefit training.
- Responsible for annual open enrollment activities for all company benefits.
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and update employee benefit records in UltiPro.
- Accurately maintain and process payroll to ensure proper pay for all Salaried and Hourly team members on a weekly and bi-week basis.
- Research and verify all payroll abnormalities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Knowledge and understanding of HRIS and Benefit Systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study preferred.
- Three to five years of direct employee benefits administration experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of federal, state and local regulations regarding benefits including COBRA, FLSA, FSA Accounts and Cafeteria Plans.
- Certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred, but not required.
- Plant Environment-exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals.
