Procore Technologies is seeking an experienced, innovative, and customer-centric Strategic Project Manager to join our Professional Services team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex and remote software implementation projects and ensure successful delivery for our strategic account customers. Your proven expertise in managing complex software rollouts will not only drive project success but also enhance our team's project management capabilities through mentorship, process improvement, and the application of best practices. As a Strategic Project Manager, you will partner closely with customers, technical specialists, and internal stakeholders to create and execute implementation strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. Leveraging your project management expertise, leadership skills, and consultative mindset, you will ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and in alignment with customer goals. You will play a critical role in delivering Industry, Technology, and Change Management thought leadership, all while embodying Procore's values of Openness, Optimism, and Ownership. This position reports to the Manager, Project Management, and can be based remotely. Travel for customer on-sites and company events may be required up to 30-40% of the time. What you'll do:
Lead End-to-End Project Delivery:Develop and execute comprehensive implementation strategies, including driving discovery sessions, developing and maintaining custom project plans, managing budgets, and tracking and mitigating risks to ensure business-based outcomes. Oversee the successful execution of custom statements of work and onboarding strategies while ensuring projects stay on time and on budget. Resource Management & Financial Forecasting:Create and manage detailed project plans, optimizing resource utilization and providing project-level management of personnel. Oversee resource allocation and forecasting, rigorously track and manage project budgets and time conformance, and provide comprehensive status and budgetary reports utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant metrics. This will include tracking margin and profitability, while continuously refining forecasting methodologies and tools by incorporating new data sources and best practices. Stakeholder Communication & Management:Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders during implementation and service delivery, providing clear and proactive communication on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Foster strong relationships with customers and internal teams. Strategic & Technical Project Leadership:Orchestrate the execution of cross-functional projects, managing diverse work streams involving both non-technical and technical stakeholders (such as analytics developers, solution architects, and integration engineers) to build customized ERP and API integrations. Process Optimization & Mentorship:Develop and implement standardized project management processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and consistency across teams. Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise to strengthen project management skills and drive continuous improvement. Pre-Sales Services Engagement & Strategy: Collaborate with PS Solution Consultants and account teams to drive pre-sales engagements by providing resource information, setting implementation and services delivery expectations, and contributing to Statements of Work (SOWs) in a supporting role. Partner in developing holistic services strategies for Upmarket accounts to ensure customer success with Procore. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:Monitor project performance and your book of business using KPIs and metrics to optimize workflows and drive successful outcomes and continuous improvement. Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Managers, Customer Success, Account Managers, Support, PS Solution Consultants (PSSCs), Sales Engineers (SEs), and other technical resources to enhance customer success and Procore's market leadership. Industry & Client Insight:Stay informed on industry trends, market activities, and customer needs to build trust and create meaningful relationships among Champions and key points of contact within each account.
What we're looking for:
10+ years of experience managing complex, large-scale end-to-end SaaS implementations for global organizations. Proven ability to manage projects and deliver professional services within a defined scope while aligning with organizational goals. This includes a successful track record of managing custom SOWs valued at over $500k and delivering them within an ambiguous scope. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to articulate project goals, expectations, and requirements to internal team members, customers, and stakeholders, while holding teams accountable. Possess communication intelligence, knowing when to leverage calls versus written communication (e.g., Slacks). Experience using project management tools for planning, resource forecasting, budget tracking, and risk management, leveraging internal tools to create and adjust project plans, manage and forecast resources, track and report on project status and budget, build and execute change management strategies. Employs a highly organized approach, utilizing strategic time and task prioritization to successfully advance multiple projects and initiatives. Combines strong consulting skills with exceptional adaptability to thrive in a startup-like environment, consistently navigating ambiguity and applying a methodical approach to deliver resilient, high-quality results. Experience leveraging Business Intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, etc) and AI tools is a plus. A history of actively seeking ways to act as a role model to help guide, develop, and mentor others within the organization. Ability to connect project delivery to key value drivers, including accelerated time-to-value and the financial success of the professional services organization.

Base Pay Range $126,514 - $173,957 plus commission for an estimated on-target earnings of $148,840 - $204,655. This role is also eligible for Equity Compensation.
