Job Summary Implementation Site Leader responsible for training and coaching branch staff to ensure a successful implementation of the D365 ERP. This role will require you to commit to 6-to-18-month deployment(s) at assigned branches across a predetermined deployment schedule. Deployment would typically require being on site at the assigned branch for 3 consecutive weeks, including the first weekend, to support full inventory count. Key Responsibilities System and Branch Expertise:
- Establish self as an ERP Subject Matter Expert by gaining extensive system and process knowledge
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support new ERP and business process efficiency
- Support branch in completing pre-requisite checklist items prior to migration and go-live by demonstrating how work is done in the branch and the current system compared to how it is done in the new system.
- Based on branch needs, may need to provide full inventory count support before go-live
Systems Training and Support:
- Complete all training pre-requisite checklist items by due date to ensure proper set-up and testing of training laptops, handheld devices and training room configuration
- Deliver demos, prescribed virtual training, and onsite training in group settings with practice exercises effectively adapt training content to learners of varying skill level and learning style
- Use a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role-play, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures to expedite user's understanding and adoption of the ERP
- Share technical information in an informative and educational format to diverse audiences
- Address and resolves assigned helpdesk calls/tickets related to ERP user issues
Change Agent:
- Build trust and collaborative partnerships across Core and Main to promote and support Core and Main's ERP implementation goals and objectives
- Attend assigned change management training and support to continually enhance understanding and skills to effectively facilitate others through change
- Report out all daily activities, accomplishments and struggles with wave leader/team and relevant Core & Main teams for support; complete weekly reports and closing recap sheet at the end of visit
Pre-Deployment Requirements:
- Complete Site Leader Development program, including In-person training in St. Louis, travel to D365 branches, mastering D365 Fetch tickets, and other experiential learning to drive mastery of operations processes and D365
Complete required non-system training, including DISC, Change Management, Resolving Conflict, and Relationship Building. Participate in monthly and virtual group meetings for training and site preparation. Be willing to be deployed for 6-18 months and work remotely from home when not on-site. Attend a branch migration to D365 to prepare to be a Site Leader for subsequent migrations.
Deployment Requirements:
- Stay on-site at the assigned branch for three weeks, including weekends for issues/inventory before going live.
Able to commit to being on-site for 3 weeks during assigned migrations Disengage from current branch activities and responsibilities during deployment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Core & Main field experience, and at least two years' using Mincron and/or Smart Distributor
- Experience, or ability to learn, how to deliver system and/or process training
- Experience managing multiple priorities against aggressive timeline
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Able to maintain energy, enthusiasm and productivity through long periods of time
- Able to travel up to 75% of the time during implementation
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude during stressful situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate complex topics clearly and simply to the intended audience
- Ability to work additional hours or weekends as needed
