Position Summary

The Maintenance and Construction Scheduler Plans and schedules facility maintenance, repair and construction projects of various buildingtrades and monitors adherence to work order and project schedules in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develops detailed maintenance schedules using CMMS and other tools, aligning tasks with available resources, staff skills, equipment availability, and workload demands.
  • Serves as a liaison between Facilities and other departments to coordinate tasks such as equipment shutdowns, installations, or power outages, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Tracks ongoing work orders, updates equipment records, maintains backlog reports, and ensures timely completion through weekly reports and coordination meetings.
  • Assists in writing technical specs for external vendors and prepares data-driven reports on maintenance activities, preventive programs, and project status.
  • Collaborates on the design and improvement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system maintenance plans and contributes to standardizing maintenance practices.
  • Inspects job sites to validate work scopes, estimates time and cost for materials and labor, and reviews site conditions before scheduling.
  • Supports inventory planning for parts and supplies, recommends training and equipment needs, and identifies opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of building trades, preventive maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats. Establish effective working relationships across departments.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • inimum three (3) years of full-time experience in planning and scheduling maintenance or construction projects, including tracking and monitoring-preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $18.06 - $25.98 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
