Department:Traffic Safety Program Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The SFST Program Specialist monitors and conducts a variety of training and education programs including: Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST), Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Traffic Occupant Protection Strategies (TOPS), Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), and Drugged Driving (DD). Provides general office support with a variety of clerical and administrative activities and assists in the management of the program's course offerings, records, and student enrollment. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Director of the Criminal Justice Institute. Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of the criminal justice field through education and/or experience. 2-3 years of related experience. Possess law enforcement instructor certification from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training.
