Part of the Culture and Community division, the Well Connected programs (Well Connected and Well Connected Espanol) are virtual social engagement and volunteer programs for older adults living throughout the United States. The Well Connected programs bring people together to explore, learn, and share experiences by phone or online.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for general program and administrative support of Well Connected. This position requires stellar organization to meet deadlines and needs of multiple stakeholders, including program participants, volunteers, colleagues, community partners, and funders. Able to work occasional weekends and evenings. Full Time, 5-days a week, on-site in our Walnut Creek, CA office.

*Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Administrative Support - 75%

    • Answer phones, voicemails, and emails in a timely and professional manner
    • Manage online program enrollments
    • Provide program information, resources and referrals, technology guidance, and other support to program participants and volunteers
    • Manage daily mailings
    • Conduct impact surveys and check-in calls
    • Provide exceptional and timely customer service to all stakeholders
    • Schedule conference calls
    • Maintain program information in nationwide resource databases
    • Run reports and utilize program database/work management tools

    Program Support - 15%

    • Train volunteer presenters/facilitators about procedures, technology, and accessibility
    • Moderate lifelong learning groups
    • Assist with volunteer management and communication
    • Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts (health fairs, outreach presentations)

    Other - 10%

    • Provide general day-to-day support to Well Connected and Well Connected Espanol program staff
    • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings
    • Be organized and accountable to frequent deadlines and varied priorities
    • Contribute to the overall success and leadership of the program
    • Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

      Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

      High School GED or Diploma or Some College

      Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

      2+ years professional experience
