Summary:

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of advanced analytics solutions to address complex business challenges in the life sciences sector. The role involves scoping, delivering and guiding cross-functional teams using advanced analytics to deliver strategic insights, influencing client decision-making and commercial strategies. The director fosters relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders, identifies opportunities for ongoing collaboration, and contributes to business growth through thought leadership and innovative analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of advanced analytics solutions, leveraging deep subject matter expertise to generate strategic insights for life sciences clients.
  • Direct delivery and sales teams in conducting targeted client and prospect analyses, addressing complex business challenges while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and vendor management.
  • Interpret a broad spectrum of industry analytics, effectively communicating findings to influence client decision-making and commercial strategies.
  • Present compelling business cases with clarity and confidence to senior executive audiences, driving organizational change and informed decision-making.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders, including data scientists, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) leads, and commercial executives, to foster collaboration and trust.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for follow-on engagements and recurring analytics projects, contributing to sustained business growth.
  • Support business development initiatives through marketing efforts, proposal development, and lead generation activities.
  • Contribute to practice development by creating knowledge assets, authoring thought leadership pieces, participating in conferences, engaging in speaking opportunities, and establishing MVPs for innovative life sciences analytics solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.MHA, MBA, or MD a plus.
  • 7 or more years of relevant work experience required, preferably in a strategy consulting firm working for life sciences clients.
  • Prior experience working directly with life sciences executives to understand their needs and translate them into actionable recommendations and results required.
  • Experience leveraging analytics into scalable solutions, creating, and facilitating presentations to clients, and developing support materials required.
  • Experience working with and understanding of Vizient's Clinical Database (CDB), Operational Database (ODB), Clinical Practice Solutions Center (CPSC), and Medicare (CMS) data required.
  • Proven track record in business development within the life sciences sector is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
