Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
  • Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
  • Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
  • Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
  • Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders

Job Responsibilities:

  • The expectation is that this role will be filled by someone of sufficient caliber to serve not only as a team lead design engineer but also as a team mentor to help foster the career growth for engineers in the rest of the our organization
  • To serve as global design engineer team lead for all proxy and firewall solutions that support Bank of America line-of-business needs while adhering to information security requirements to establish secure network connectivity leveraging varying content inspection systems for malware prevention, data loss prevention, and forensic analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • Very Senior level (10+ years) expertise in the following (in order of desirability) disciplines:
    • Proxy technology specifically, Skyhigh Web Gateway,
    • SSL Interception F5 SSLO expertise is HUGE
    • FireEye (NX/VX/CM),
    • Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewalls,
    • TippingPoint IDS/IPS,
    • F5 LTM, GTM
  • Significant expertise with web proxies for advanced content filtering
  • Significant expertise in malware prevention and data loss prevention systems, including Day Zero threat prevention
  • MUST have super-extensive knowledge on fundamental networking concepts of DNS, DHCP, Firewalls. Load balancing, IPS, basic routing/switching; excellent understanding of TCP/IP and packet analysis
  • Expertise in creating Application and network diagrams including all pertinent flows and decisions.
  • Capability to summarize complex issues into executive summaries
  • Advanced understanding of Cryptography, SSL certificates, SSL decryption / offload methodologies, HSM/HSMaaS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of cloud encryption and tokenization (i.e., Salesforce topology and integration of Salesforce / Servicenow clouds with Cloud encryption gateway)
  • Expertise in Virtualization, ESXi server management, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, vMotion to transform hardware based infrastructure to virtual platformsUnderstanding of Machine learning, data modeling and perform advanced analytics
  • Expertise in Linux, Python, Apache, HTML + Bootstrap, and SQL.
  • Leveraging APIs to enhance automation routines.
  • 10+ years of overall networking experience
  • Familiarity with the following tools and/or platforms helpful:
    • Zscaler, Radware, FireEye, Websense, Scansafe, Ironport, , Damballa, Vontu, Skyhigh, Palantir, Cloudera platforms
    • CipherCloud or similar cloud encryption technology
    • SEIM tools such as Arcsight, Splunk
