Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Controller works under the guidance of the assigned TX-OK Facility's Controller and CFO. Supervises accounting staff and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting related transactions. Position is responsible for assessing, prioritizing and providing guidance to Accountants regarding accounting procedures. Responsible for meeting deadlines assigned and assists with financial processes including month-end closing, journal entries, financial reporting, net revenue calculations, AHA survey, tax package. Participates in SOX Audits, regularly reviews internal controls over accounting transactions and provides recommendations. Assists with annual budget preparations. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Three to Five years of experience in General Hospital Accounting or other business accounting experience 2. Supervisory experience is preferred. 3. Must always demonstrate service excellence. 4. Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis in Excel 5. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer. EDUCATION / LICENSURE: 1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required. 2.
