EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Bachelor's Degree in a related field Experience 1 year experience in the animal care field/operations -AND- Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Preferred Licenses and Certifications ASSIST LAB ANIMAL TECHNOLOGIST JOB DUTIES Assists with training materials, handouts, and other training tools. Assists with departmental training sessions: group and one-on-one training. Assists with training new hires in various animal facilities for cage wash equipment operations, animal husbandry, and animal techniques. May assist with conducting approved, basic animal techniques with research staff. Organizes and inputs training documentation. Prepares, organizes, and cleans before and after training classes. Follows all ARC Standard Operational Procedures, IACUC Policies, the Guide, and PHS Policy for all training. Maintains working knowledge of federal laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to the care and use of research animals, as well as the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. Performs other duties as assigned.
