As a Data Center Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure while working with the newest technologies. You will have responsibility for the infrastructure hosting team, play a key role in supporting the site, and share your expertise on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure ongoing operation and support according to relevant standards of Data Center/Computer Room hosting locations in and around South San Francisco, including the global data center located in Santa Clara (SC).

• Support Business and IT Strategy needs relating to data centers, including the evolution of the SSF campus and capability needs in SC.

• Be a contact point for global IT Infrastructure teams, both for supporting their activities as well as ensuring the appropriate inventory, clean-up and maintenance activities.

• Contribute to global efforts for improvement in Data Center management.

• Implement Data Center Network changes.

• Management of financial aspects, including budget planning, cost controls, utilization and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of IT Infrastructure.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or within an equivalent discipline and 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Good understanding of IT infrastructure (data storage, server technology, LAN, etc.).

• Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure in an enterprise (aligning lifecycle, capacity and demand, overseeing storage, physical compute, data platforms, etc.).

• Experience at least one of two products: Data Center/Computer Room and/or Data Center Network.

• Ability to collaborate with product managers both locally and globally.

• A thirst for continued learning and development.

• Healthcare or Biotech or Pharma or Diagnostics industry experience is a plus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is between $118,400 - $219,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
