Residing within that radius would be necessary.

First year potential $50k - $60k based on performance

Schedule: M - F, with possibly one Saturday per month, and one fifth Saturday per year.*

Hours: Start to finish job (start around 6:30am - 3:30pm)

How You'll Make an Impact:

As ABC's Pest Operations Support Manager, you will ensure the Pest Division equipment and vehicles are maintained and in good working condition. Oversee all repairs to vehicles and equipment, and ensure Pest Technicians are properly outfitted to perform their work. The Pest Operations Service Support Manager will coordinate between many departments and divisions within the company to make sure Pest Division Operations function without interruptions even when problems arise.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
  • 5 years Previous Pest Control experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a leading position and demonstrated ability in motivating individuals and groups are preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate with members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to forecast work seasons and personnel needs.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to organize department work flow and create solutions for production and administrative problems.
  • Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
  • High school diploma or GED is desired.
  • Ability to use and navigate electronic tablet/phone, etc.
  • Computer skills: basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, ability and willingness to learn new programs and software.

What You'll Do:

  • Assure Specialist equipment is in proper working order and maintains adequate inventory/parts for needed repairs.
  • May participate in some personnel interviews and may make some recommendations for any potential hires.
  • Maintains a current inventory and status log for the Pest Division Fleet to forecast for cycling of vehicles and new growth.
  • Coordinates with Fleet and Safety departments for employee vehicle assignment and repair of damaged vehicles.
  • Delegates and assists Mechanics in routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
  • Reports on status of various division tasks to track improvement.
  • Performs QA inspections and coaches on proper techniques to improve efficiency of Specialist's work.
  • Develops and organizes fleet vehicle inspections and addresses issues in a timely manner.
  • Makes recommendations to improve operations, sets goals, plans; coordinates work flow to achieve the goals set by the company and the department.
  • Prepares write ups, counsels employees and plays an important part in the specialist's development, coaching, training and separations. Responsible for seeking counsel before taking adverse action against an employee.
  • Approves time sheets and PTO request on a timely manner.
  • Makes vehicles ready for new hires or transfers, monitors drive cams, drives with new employees to different work sites to grade the readiness of the new employee. Reinforces proper techniques if necessary.
  • Effectively manages employee conflict, resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems. Escalates the matter to upper Management or HR for employee resolution when necessary.
  • Takes inventory and plans for future demand and replacement of vehicles, items, and equipment.
  • Remains knowledgeable regarding company policies and procedures and communicates these to employees. Seeks counsel of employment law when necessary.
  • Responsible for assigning all equipment to new hires and accounting of all returned equipment when an employee leaves or transfers.
  • Enforces all safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for maintaining the required uniform and insuring a professional appearance and attitude for all service personnel at all times.
  • May be needed to assist in the event of employee emergencies on the road.
  • Must maintain all requirements by TDA licensing authority.
  • Other duties as assigned.
