Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Level I:

  • Estimated annual base pay: $51,600 (minimum) - $64,500 (midpoint) - $77,400 (maximum)

Level II:

  • Estimated annual base pay: $73,360 (minimum) - $91,700 (midpoint) - $110,040 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Buyer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Buyer creates, reviews and maintains valid plans of material and manages the supply base in order to meet customer demand.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Plans, schedules, releases and manages purchase, interplant orders and work orders as required
  • Directs supplier action to mitigate anticipated delays by reviewing and utilizing ERP data
  • Makes changes to supply based on review, analysis and the outcome of monthly SIOP meeting
  • Maintains and analyzes planning parameters (i.e. Lead times, lot sizes order quantities, safety stock)
  • Reviews, analyzes and implements replenishment targets to support "pull" system
  • Participates in capacity review meetings with internal and external suppliers
  • Monitors and maintains inventory levels in alignment with business unit goals
  • Works with IT groups to test changes and updates in the ERP system
  • Participates in CI/Lean projects
  • Performs price analysis for competitive and non-competitive procurements
  • Develops and executes strategies for negotiation of purchase order terms: price, delivery, expedites, etc.
  • Manages suppliers (post award) with a strong focus on internal customer support (Message Mgt)
  • Resolves material issues (shortages, emergency customer demands, etc.) by working with internal and external suppliers
  • Develops and maintains communication channels between various departments and the Supply Chain to maintain the flow of materials to support the customer

What We Are Looking For

Level I:

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
  • Previous buying, material planning and/or production planning experience
  • Manufacturing processes knowledge

Level II

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Buyer, material planning and/or production planning experience
  • Manufacturing processes knowledge
