Job description
Position Purpose:
With direction from the Marketing Manager, the Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events to support the mission and goals of the organization. This includes internal and external fundraising events, community awareness/outreach, donor appreciation, and special program centered events. The Events Coordinator will work closely with external vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless event logistics, maximize participant engagement, and foster positive relationships with supports, donors, and stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in driving awareness, enhancing donor relations, and ensuring the overall success of the organization's events. Primary Duties: * Create and maintain organization's annual calendar of events * Develop and implement event plans, timelines, and budgets, working closely with other departments on program specific related events. * Lead organizations two annual fundraising events. Golf Tournament in the spring and Annual Gala in the fall. * Coordinate logistics for internal and external events including venue selection, catering, A/V, etc. * Development and management of event invitations, RSVP lists, and overall communications. * Manage sponsorship lists and work alongside Data Specialist to provide recommendations for stewardship with new/potential donors and sponsors. * Work alongside Data Specialist to ensure all sponsorship and ticket registrations run seamlessly on organizations website and troubleshoot if necessary. * Lead organizations volunteer initiatives/projects and build relationships with new potential partners. * Participate in department goal setting, budgeting, and planning. * Additional duties as assigned. Educational and experiential requirements, if any, follow. *Ability to communicate clearly *Project management skills *Skilled in both writing and editing *Knowledge of Accounting is a plus *Skilled at budgeting Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (or 3-7 years of work experience with nonprofit administration, event coordination, or fundraising) Experience: 3+ years of experience in events coordination. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Environmental: While typically working in a professional office environment, however a hybrid schedule is available.
