MOCVD Technician

Job Summary

Individual will operate and maintain MOCVD reactors, as well as perform wafer characterization on epitaxial material.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Supervisor;
• Operate Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) equipment;
• Program MOCVD reactors to perform growth operations;
• Load and unload semiconductor wafers;
• Perform daily maintenance tasks, such as filter changes, chamber cleaning, and toxic gas bottle replacements;
• Required to meet deadlines;
• Operate wafer characterization equipment such as surface inspection, X-ray, and PL;
• Other duties that may be assigned;

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience operating MOCVD reactors;
• Minimum of one year operating and maintaining complex machinery in a production environment; preferably in the semiconductor field;
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions;
• Be well organized and pay close attention to detail;
• Well organized and pay close attention to detail;
• Have good eye/hand dexterity, and be able to handle fragile parts;
• Have experience working with computers;
• Be available for overtime work when needed;
• US Citizen: Yes, or green card;
• Language: Must speak and write English well;

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience operating MOCVD reactors
• 2+ year technical school degree or certificate

Education

Technical High School Diploma required.

Willing and able to work around toxic materials and gases;

Willing and able to wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA), and respirators;

Able to lift at least 50 lbs;
