This Position reports to:

Engineering Director
Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective, and timely engineering solutions to customers. Each day, you will formulate plans and allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. You will also showcase your expertise by initiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability.

The work model for the role is: hybrid (#Li-Hybrid) in Houston, TX or Lake Mary, FL.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Technical & People Leadership: Lead engineering teams with a focus on safety, quality, timely delivery, and risk mitigation. Oversee planning, reviews, audits, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Innovation & Knowledge Sharing: Foster technical excellence through design reviews, lessons learned, and promoting innovation and continuous learning within the team.
  • Change & Risk Management: Drive continuous improvement and implement change management strategies to enhance processes, policies, and risk mitigation across engineering functions.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Customer Focus: Maintain strong internal and external relationships, ensuring customer requirements are met while clearly communicating technical and financial project aspects across all levels.
Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor of Science degree (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics Engineeringpreferred) with 10 years of experience
  • Power Systems Expertise: Deep knowledge of medium/low voltage switchgear, protection systems, control, and automation for integration into Power Distribution Centers and Electrical Houses, especially for data center applications.
  • Design & Analysis Skills: Proficient in electrical design (single-line, three-line, schematics), UPS and battery systems sizing, DC load calculations, and cable/conduit sizing per IEEE, NEC, and other standards.
  • Testing & Compliance: Experienced in testing electrical equipment (switchgear, MCCs, UPS, etc.) and ensuring compliance with industry standards like NEMA, UL, NETA, and PIP.
  • Tools & Collaboration: Skilled in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, ePlan, and SAP; effective in collaborating with customers and vendors to develop tailored solutions.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on team coordination, quality control, change management, and willingness to travel up to 30% for project needs.
