Strategic. Persuasive. Vision-Driven.
At MSHS Pacific Power Group, we're powering critical infrastructure with advanced control and automation systems. We're seeking a Senior Sales Engineer with deep technical expertise-especially in Woodward control systems-and the entrepreneurial drive to lead complex, high-impact projects that shape the future of marine and power generation. This is not a routine sales role. We're looking for someone who thrives in an environment of autonomy, ambiguity, and innovation. If you're a visionary professional who's energized by people, excited to own the strategy, and thrives when given the freedom to create, persuade, and lead-this opportunity is designed for you.
What You'll Do
- Lead with Confidence: Take the reins as the senior technical advisor on Woodward-based control systems, driving strategic conversations and solution development for customers and internal teams.
- Engineer & Influence: Design complete control solutions for retrofits, upgrades, and new builds. Use your persuasive, energetic style to present ideas that align with client goals and budgets.
- Own the Sales Cycle: Work directly with ship operators, OEMs, EPCs, utilities, and industrial clients to assess needs, design systems, and close deals. You'll have the freedom to act and the support to succeed.
- Collaborate to Win: Partner with engineering, project, and field teams to align scope, specs, and timelines while ensuring smooth execution.
- Drive Business Growth: Identify key market opportunities and own the strategic approach to developing long-term relationships and repeat business.
- Mentor & Lead: Share your insights and success strategies with junior engineers and field service professionals, elevating the entire team's performance.
Is This You?
- You are proactive and forward-thinking, always looking for new ways to solve challenges and improve results.
- You thrive in environments with minimal micromanagement, and prefer to be trusted with goals and left free to execute.
- You are persuasive, outgoing, and build energy through connection and collaboration.
- You are motivated by medium- to long-term impact, and you're energized by opportunities that involve strategy, innovation, and visible results.
- You are not bogged down by excessive rules-you prefer agile environments where your voice and vision are welcomed.
- You balance empathy with intensity, able to understand a client's needs while confidently leading them to a solution.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Experience:
- 15+ years in technical sales, systems engineering, or business development in marine or power generation
- Hands-on experience with Woodward control platforms (505, 2301, LSM, Vision, RT-S) is required
- Deep understanding of diesel/gas engines, gas turbines, switchgear, and automation systems
- Skills:

- Ability to read control schematics, P&IDs, architecture drawings
- Strong proposal development, client engagement, and negotiation skills
