About Us The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent nonprofit organization authorized by Congress in 2010. Its mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed healthcare decisions. PCORI is committed to continually seeking input from a broad range of stakeholders to guide its work. Position Summary The intern's contributions to the Public Policy & Government Relations, PPGR team will offer an opportunity to strengthen their writing skills and gain hands-on experience with congressional procedure composition. Interns can also expect to complete their time at PCORI with increased fluency in congressional operations and federal health policy. PPGR intern will have the opportunity to:
Pay Range and Employment Status: Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits.
Required Experience Ideal candidates will be pursuing their undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Health Policy or related fields of study. This hybrid role requires in-person work at PCORI's office and on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The selected intern must be available to work on-site at least one day per week.
