Job Summary

The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for assembly and testing of electronic and/or mechanical parts. Parts are typically very small but may also be larger. This job requires close attention to detail while working, assembling, inspecting, and/or testing parts using hands, tools, and/or equipment. Must be able to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Performs daily tasks as directed by Supervisor or Lead;
  • Trains to and follows documented manufacturing assembly, inspection, and testing procedures;
  • Assembles various parts using tools such as microscopes, soldering iron, tweezers, pneumatic dispensed epoxy, etc.;
  • Performs manufacturing tasks per applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation;
  • Performs quality inspection and testing on unassembled and assembled parts;
  • Documents results on forms or other media as instructed per procedures using GDP (Good Documentation Practices);
  • Ensures line clearance procedures are always followed;
  • Setup and cleans work areas, including machines, gauges, tables, and surrounding floor area;
  • Keeps work environment clean and organize;
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed;
  • Trains new associates to manufacturing procedures (MAP, AP, etc.);
  • Performs minor equipment maintenance as directed by Lead or Supervisor;
  • Adheres to safe practices and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor or Lead;
  • Performs other duties or special projects or activities as requested.


Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications



  • Ability to follow written and verbal English instructions;
  • Ability to write legibly on forms using GDP (Good Documentation Practices);
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time;
  • Good eye hand dexterity;
  • Able to use a microscope;
  • Able to use tools to assemble small parts;
  • Ability to work overtime;
  • Ability to work in a large diverse group of people in a team setting;
  • Proven ability to work in a safe manner and comply with company safety guidelines.


Preferred Qualifications



  • At least six months experience in a fast pace production environment;
  • Experience with electronic assembly, inspection and/or testing;
  • Ability to perform basic operations of a computer;
  • Experience working in medical device manufacturing.


Education



  • Some High School or GED is required.


Compensation

The anticipated Hourly Rate range for this position is $16-19 Per Hour plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in a production or office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
