Jira Align Coach Category: Information Technology Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-386892 Jira Align Coach 6+ month contract Plano, TX (Hybrid) Summary: We are seeking an experienced Jira Align Coach with a strong background in Agile frameworks, enterprise-scale agile transformations, and hands-on administration of Jira Align and other Atlassian products. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to agile teams, Release Train Engineers, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Executives to drive the successful adoption of scaled agile practices through Jira Align. This role is critical in bridging team-level execution with enterprise strategy-enhancing transparency, enabling data-driven decision-making, and accelerating value delivery across the organization. Responsibilities: Lead and coach stakeholders at all levels on Jira Align configuration, adoption, and best practices. Support Agile Release Trains (ARTs), portfolios, and teams in mapping their work (Themes - Features - Epics - Stories) into Jira Align effectively. Partner with IT and Atlassian administrators to ensure seamless integration between Jira Align and Jira Software. Conduct training, workshops, and working sessions to upskill teams and leaders on Jira Align functionalities. Collaborate with Agile Coaches and Transformation Leads to drive alignment between Agile ways of working and Jira Align reporting structures. Translate complex Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum@Scale, LeSS, etc.) into Jira Align constructs. Support leadership in establishing and using Lean Portfolio Management, Value Streams, and Strategic Themes within Jira Align. Enable data-driven decisions through custom dashboards, OKRs, KPIs, and portfolio reports. Identify system gaps, recommend enhancements, and help shape the Jira Align roadmap with internal teams or Atlassian partners. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Agile experience (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or other frameworks). 2+ years of hands-on Jira Align experience supporting enterprise Agile transformations. Strong understanding of Agile delivery at scale (SAFe, Scrum@Scale, or similar). Experience with Jira Software (Cloud or Data Center) and Jira-to-Jira Align synchronization. Proven experience facilitating training, coaching sessions, and workshops. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business roles. Ability to distill and present complex technical topics in a clear, business-friendly manner. Experience with Lean Portfolio Management concepts and tools. Background in Agile transformation consulting or change enablement in large enterprises. Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, OKRs, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
